ABOUT US

The social welfare policy and practice group was created to encourage the study and teaching of social welfare policy and policy practice within social work education. The group is further concerned about the creation of optimal social policy and social welfare policy. We sponsor the social welfare policy symposium at the Council on Social Work Education's Annual Program Meeting and the Social Policy Journal. Founded in 1987, it is the organization that represents faculty teaching social policy in social work education.
